How manifestation works and what it means (to me)
What the act of manifestation really means (to me) is to make real a state you want to live by. So if you are manifesting happiness, you approach every day with a physical presence of happiness and a mental awareness of being in that state of happiness. It shows how the way we think and the way we act influence our reality here and now. That’s why manifestation is so important.
This is true for billionaires and millionaires and celebrities: If we don’t find that place of peace within and we don’t work on the life we want to live internally, nothing that happens externally will ever impact us at all. Or make us happy. Example: money. This is why monks with nothing but a robe and a plate for food are in a better place and living in pure awareness while millionaires can sit in 10-bedroom homes on the ocean in complete turmoil and sadness.
That being said, I went on a journey of self discovery and inner peace a few years ago. I had come out of a hell of a ride of destroying my body and inner self-hatred and decided to work on my inner mind. But I turned my life around, mostly by changing my mindset. I started manifesting my dreams, and with it choosing and changing my physical and mental awareness every single day. And here I am, going away again, discovering the world on my own and up for the rollercoaster ride*.
To Barcelona, Spain.
Why Barcelona – and how?
Why Barcelona you ask? And, most importantly, how? – I applied for a scholarship to study at a private university in Barcelona. I speak Spanish and I’m in love with the language and the city. Then when I opened my mail last week, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I got the scholarship! I danced it out for a minute, went outside, stood on the bridge crossing the river Rhine (true story 😂), and screamed.
I cannot wait for this next chapter. I am feeling all of the feels. I’m feeling terrified and excited and challenged and free and alive. I cannot wait to dream in Spanish again (does anyone else keep a dream journal?). I cannot wait to be faced with another challenge – no-one is going to do this for me but myself. I cannot wait to really get to know this city and its people*². But most of all, I cannot wait to take you along for the ride.
*It won’t always be pretty and the reality of finding an apartment in a metropolis like Barcelona is (going to/already is) hit(ting) me hard. If you have any tips, please leave them down below! ⇣
*²So far, I’ve been to Barcelona twice.
